which diff ratio would be best suited for the m50 swap using a 325i m20 gearbox??
i want it to be quick of the mark but not screaming its lungs out on the motorway!!

Ah, you probably want the same as me then, about 3K rpm or a little less at 70~75??
A 3.64 should suit using the E30 box and its available for around £300 in the 'for sale' section, if i had that kinda spare cash i would have ripped out the 4.27 by now
Theres also other ratios inbetween like a 3.73 and 3.91, all depends what you want and what mix of driving you do.

i do alot of local driving but i do like a long run once in a while, i want something for both kind of driving.
i'm expecting a small windfall, then maybe 3.64 lsd it will be then.
