does the fact its steel and not an alloy make a difference to the size? 20's have been fitted on e30's.

 Sorry my fault for not engaging my brain before writing.

Suppose what i ment to say is what's the biggest steel wheel available that will fit on the E30?
I know you can jam some pretty massive alloys on them but it seems the biggest Steel wheel you can get is about 16".

Im sure somebody somewhere does them, but would be very few and far between, as its not really inkeeping with the style to go bigger than 16 with steels. The steel look is normally coupled with a very low stance, and small diameter wheels.

Personally, I don't think it would be worth getting bigger than 16"

But good luck with the search though mate, if thats what you wanna do then go for it!

Can you get 15" steels that are the right fitment & offset for E30??? What would they be from???

Also reminded me of something i've been wondering about banded wheels - seen in done on steels enough - am I right to assume you couldn't band an alloy wheel, to give more width and a deep dish????

www.wide-wheels.co.uk - Steels, they would know what will fit and be able to make some for you

Alloys I would imagine would be to weak if done that way, alot of heat would have to be put through them due to being Tig... most 'alloys' arnt true alloy anyway

Cheers

Nice one!!!!!!

I presumed it would be something to do with the compound being the reason for alloys not being done!!!

Anyone know what offset BMW mini steel rims are???
