Has anyone got info such as wiring diagrams or links to good info on the web on how to do this conversion?

i dunno wiring details but u need a piggyback ecu of some sort to run it...eg dastek unichip.... as the signal types between afm and maf varies...i think one is linear and one is curved or something....

I've found a kit for sale in the states, but prefer the DIY route! Anyone got any more info?

not a fan of unichip or split second units dude

get hold of an e36 323 MAF, wire in an SMT6 or equivalent and datalog the output from the stock AFM, plot on graph paper as voltage vs rpms/

fit the MAF, again datalog the results, use the SMT6 to alter the MAf curve to the same as the AFM, you can alter the output voltage 50% either way from stock dude.

easy? nope, rewarding. yup !

best man to talk to regarding this conversion is deano325T, that's how he has swopped the AFM for MAP on his turbo car

the method will give you a bease map, and obviously remove the restriction of the flap o meter

discuss peeps
