If it should be in another section

My 1993 3201 went phut on the motorway today - the revs dropped the gearbox malfunction light came on ( it's an auto ).The strangest thing was at precisely the same time she started to behave as if one or more cylinders were out.She is creeping away from rest but after 20 yards will drive at 50 without over-revving.

I drove carefully to my local little garage and he said he didnt have a clue - could be anything but would need time to diagnose

There is cleanish fluid in the transmission

Now heres the thing - this car has only 77k cared for miles on her so this in realtiy shouldnt be serious .... but this car owes me nothing but good as she is shes not worth spending long bucks on - so before i even pay for a diagnosis ( which could well be off target anyhow ) I thought Id enquire her

Any ideas anyone???

Its an evo smg?

If its a gearbox issue there should have been a code flash up E2 or E3 or something. Did you get anything like that?
