I'm trying to change my rear wheel bearing. I haven't got passed taking the hub nut off though. Anybody know what size it is? I think it's 29mm, unfortunately my socket set has 27mm then 32mm with nothing inbetween.

you will need a 30mm socket mate. and make sure you remove the washer thing that sits around the nut before you undo the nut

Can't see no washer thing. But the drive shaft has been punched in the middle which I spose will make it a lot more difficult to remove.

then there should be a washer style thing around the nut. it has three flat edges on it that locate in the hub. if its not there then just undo the nut. you can still undo it with it in there but its harder to hold the socket on.

The dimple in the middle of the driveshaft is left over from when it was made, makes a handy place to locate a punch to tap it out of the hub without damaging the threads once that nut is off.
