There's a switch incorporated into the outside door handle. Does this switch have any effect on it?

If the delay is OE, there should be a switch! Delay unit won't work without it, or if it's connection isn't bypassed.

i assume the switch is located on the door handle; in relation to the say door heater too??

im going to try and get my interior delay to work as well; can hear my unit click! but the lights just go ON or OFF; no fading rellly?!

the click coming from the passenger side could be the relay that controls the ability to operate the windows and sunroof without the key being in the ignition

My convertibles the same. Sometimes the delay works, sometimes it doesn't. There seems to be some kind of pattern to it but I havn't had a chance to try to work it out.
