Hi
The m3 convertiable was built on the standard shell so if you want you can covert a car with the proper sheet metal. Otherwise any of the standard m3 body kits could be adapted easy.

has it been fitted or painted? what did he pay and what would be a sensible offer? a site onlines selling them £595 (nicedeals.co.uk) for the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, front and rear wings. i have found there to be two prices, the one mentioned and £839.95 so most of the kits out there are from the same place im guessing?

its rhd, has a silly spoiler, the wheels are shite and need BIG spacers, and is still on 4-stud hubs, plus the front bumper has had the section between the 2 openings cut into a single rectangular opening which always makes the bumper look aftermarket for some reason, and looks like it's got facelift indicators, m3s use the earlier type, more squae ones which are recessed into the bumper, plus on an m3 there's a black ruber strip between the top of the front bumper and the wings / lower grille pannel.
HOWEVER the kititself does look to be nicely fitted and finished, and i bet it would fool a lot of people (who arent m3 nerds)

i'v got the original wings and rear quarters, which are the main bit. as they wont warp when the heat gets to them. the bumpers and sides will be ok in fibreglass. so its all good. just wondering whether i should stick with genuine look alikes, or after market bumpers.
any suggestions???

£250 for wings, £250 for quarters. i dont know if you've seen this one red some dudes done in another country, but thats whats confirmed me to do mine as a m3. the yellow one isnt all that, and neither was the purple one on ebay recently.

You talkin about the red touring with m3 conversion, seen that . Mate im in the same position as you, need to get the side sills, and the front bumper, but even tho, still cantt decide whether to go ahead with it or not, the costs etc, how much you been quoted to do this.

Red cabrio mate, i'v put the link on the post.SHAKEELE30 wrote:You talkin about the red touring with m3 conversion, seen that . the sills, best option is fibreglass, avoid the welding, screw them straight to the sills, and from the bottom to the wings and arches.
rear bumper, best option is fibreglass, not gona get smacked on humps, so all good.
front bumper, would prefer genuine, but considering a damaged one sold for £350 recently, fibreglass is best option. lol
cost wise, all i'm paying is, cost of kit, and painting, fitting the kit part, doing it myself.
alll inclusive, i'm budgeting around £2500 mark. thats with the price of the car

if youv'e got genuine rear quarters (metal ones) are you gonna cut the origianl quarters off, and replace. or just weld the skin of the wide ones?
