I've probbaly spent enough on my two sports to be able to buy a decent 2000 vintage M5, shame I didn't. Never said I was smart though.

Thats a very nice colour too.

Your a lucky man. Always wanted an E39 M5.

A few key points to remember:-

Shares in any of the the big Oil companies.
Carry a spare gerry can. 15mpg if your lucky
All the overtime you can get. You'll need the ££££££

After that? who knows
Best of luck with it. :thumb:

Second that. Only problem is I've the one car and have put near 20K in it to date. If I'd have bought a sub 20k M5 then will have definitely put in 10k in running costs. As anyone knows these are specialists cars and are not meant to be run on a shoe-string budget

cheers,

Have to say i'm not really in the position either. but i worked out if i:

took the 3 grand i had to put e36m3 engine in my tourer,
stopped take aways,
take and apple to work rather than going to the garge every morning,
rent my body (extra £2 a week but all helps)
told the missus to quit smoking.....eating...breathing and buying anything.

should be able to keep driving it.

Zimmer, were you abused by a Vanos unit as a child? Have you become the Vanos prophet of doom in the last couple of days?

Well after a weekend of getting used to the car i have decided that its a MONSTER!!! Obviously on a test drive you can't give them death. Its just a nimble as the m3 and feels so much more powerful.
Traction off and she's a beast, gonna need a bit more practice before i master the whole of my favorite roundabout but i dont think it'll take many goes.

Get yourself over to the uk. A combination of thirst/pending big roadtax bills and major league running costs means early leggy ones can be bought for less than 7 bags ! 8O A serious weapon for the brave and foolhardy. They must be peanuts when even a zoner can buy one ! :)

Thats fucking nice!!! Got taken for a spin in one not too long ago they are weapons!!! The way they pull is incredible and the engine sounds gorgeous.

One of my fave things is the lights on the rev counter that go off in sequence as the engine warms up. Lovely cars.

And it's in the best colour too. It's a shame they don't make'em like that anymore.

Enjoy! 8)
