Hey guys

I have finally began the adventure of restoring my e30.

Ive began by removing the carpet so that I could dye it and to search for any rust, which indeed I have found some .

Ill be onto that rust this weekend. Im just wondering though, after treating the rust is there anything I could apply to the chasis to protect it before I put the carpet back on?
Ive heard of "waxoil" what exactly does it do? will it be fine for the job? where can I find it? as google isnt being very productive this time round

no worries. I know alot of older cars use it, especially old land rovers! My iS has had the waxoyl treatment before by the previous owner, and i would probably get it done myself too if i wasn't so busy
