Very tricky to fit the blind to a non blind shelf.Easy wat is to swap the rear shelf for one with a blind. The one I bought I had to do a little re-enforcing job to re-attach the roller box to the shelf, this entailed a strip of softwood, glued to the underside of the roller box and self tappered to the shelf.
Youth is wasted on the young.
Or you can try and find the genuine bmw blind that attaches to the normal shelf with clips/hooks like mine
On a similar note, has anyone got any tips for fitting the hooks to hang the blind on at the top of the rear screen?

I slipped my hooks behind the rubber seal,on the headlining side.Seems to work OK,they have not pulled out,yet....Kedge wrote:

Mine must be different then as the hooks for mine hooks over the rear screen under the rubber seal.
