I'm gonna put some 9 inch wide rims on the back of the touring (following some extensive arch work) and am trying to decide what size tires to use?

I'll be running 205/40/17's on the front and 235/35/17's on the rear would be a good match for the rolling radius.

Anyone got any suggestions? Ive seen a couple of people are using 225's, but not 235's.

Cheers, Jon

On the back mate,

If you run 205/50/15's on the BBS's then the rolling circumference is 1841mm.

If you use 235/35/17's on the back of the new tyres it will be 1874mm, quite a good match! Less than 2% out.

205/40/17's are 1872mm. This is what I run on mine.

Look at this site.

Cheers Dave, but if you re-read my post you'll see i already calculated this was the best match for the circumference! Thanks for the link anyway dude.

I was just interested if anyone was running 235 wide tires on the back, and what clearance probs they had?
