Sorry Uwe, Didn't make myself clear. I know what there for (as I've already bought them!) just not too sure as to how they fix to the turret.

Slotted holes obviously allows some adjustment of the mount so the coilover doesn't foul the body. My shocks are actually bent!

The socket heads are captive, so does this mean the zinc horseshoe goes underneath and the mount goes on top in the boot? or does the mount go underneath and the horseshoe in the boot with nuts underneath??????

Bloody expensive and f*** all instructions

the black part goes on the under side of the turret attached the the damper. and the silver part goes ontop of the turret inside the boot.

Thought so...but that does away with a lot of the adjustment :? seems a bit pointless having slotted holes as the mount will only move so far in that space.

Rockingham should be good as Ive found the car is a) coil bound when the spring is trapped by the body b) Has the spring rates of a lazy boy chair c) bent shocks due to the same problem as a.

Effectively had a solid rear axle 8O might make the rear more mangable.

Not cheap but they look well made and may stop me shagging my suspension.

Whoever took that picture needs a slap - the reinforcement plate (horseshoe) is on the wrong side!
To allow adjustment for clearance, the slots must extend inboard to allow the mount to be moved outward - but the reinforcement plate must be inboard too, to clear the panel above the turret.

Here's the reinforcement plate I made for mine - it's cut away on the outward side otherwise it wouldn't fit!

The coilovers were robbing against the inside of the wing on the chassis that badly that the rod's on the shocks were bent!! The springs were like bananas when we took them off. If the weight of the car was doing that then to my mind the spring wasn't working as it should.

As the new mounts are adjustable we now have some (although still limited) clearance and no rubbing. Result.

Talking of which we went from 20th to 9th in the race at Rockingham as it was a wet qualifing and a dry race. 2nd in class again. Brands Hatch this Saturday so hoping for more of the same.
