hi guys/girls,been 2 view a 1989 318s today and doing deal 2moro but the car hasnt got an electric sunroof and cant see reg document as he just bought car two weeks ago and hasnt got v5 yet,do u think its a true s?also anyone got a pic of the engine?saw it 2day but not sure what the difference is btween 318 and s. thanks

dude, stop rushing .. i know your exited and i bet at least 90% of us went dolally looking at a new e30 for the first time or so..


but for gods sake wait til he has some papers to show u or at least check the reg via DVLA and the police.

the last thing u need it to drop a grand on some shister and a ringed e30

if the car has air con then it probably won't have a sunroof as a/c deleted the sunroof option unless you paid even more.

other than that i'm afraid i don't know much about 318is's

cheers guys,its a 318is,suposedly,no aircon but recaro interior rear spoiler,not sure why hes selling so quickly but hes got the bottom part of v5.

I've never seen an 318iS with a electric sunroof, most are manual.

Got it in one, wow I really thought that it was a standard option unless air-con was fitted, learn something new everyday!!

Recaro sports seats
M-tech gear knob and steernig wheel
BBS 15" alloys
M-tech sports suspension

All this is standard

Leather, sunroof etc extras.

Excellent website with buyers guide is http://www.esatclear.ie/~bpurcell/ will cover loads. Watch out for rust. 318i has different engine layout. This pics on this thread are great so give you detail, if it don't look like them it aint a 318iS

BBS 15" alloys <<<<<<<<< Alloys were an option on the early 318iS, only standard on the 1991 cars, then they were only 14" unless you upgraded

Should have front lower lip spoiler, and a black headlining, although some of the white cars don't appear to all have these...

Welcome to the world of the 318iS, some people spurn them, but they are just jealous really
