Hello peeps,

Been a member of the site for a while now but only picked up my first BM baby on Friday. I have not been able to wipe the grin off my face since.

Juts got a really nice, all original spec 318iS in red. Now my broadband is sorted as soon as I can figure it out I will post some pics but I thought I must share my joy.

I have used this site as my bible in the purchase of my car checking for hints and tips along the way. You guys are legends I must say, and I look forward to sharing for real on a few of the meets coming up.

And the best bit I can wind up my big bro as he had to get rid of his 318iS as he is now a family man and has to have a sensible car (E46 328i) and I have one that was even more mint than his. I tell you I am fit to burst....

Only bugger is the speedo does not work and I can't get it checked out until Thursday so I don't wanna get busted driving round too much and I know what the police are like round my way. :D

I get the impression you're a bit pleased! Good on you, sounds like a nice car.

I believe many E30's suffer from speedo problems, as did mine when i bought it in March. I was advised to unplug the cable going into the back of the rear differential and check all connections for corrosion etc. I unplugged mine, sprayed WD40 on it and its worked fine ever since. Its a piece of p1ss, even if your not good with mechanical bits you should try it before paying someone to sort it.

Enjoy your car!
If it aint broke, it aint modified enough

Will have a look thanks, spent the most of weekend feeling paranoid that I had bought a lemon, had someone just rebadged, stuck in the right engine etc. I was sensbile but you still can never be to sure but nothing has fallen off and it is proving to be all it was supposed to be.

This is the first decent car I have ever had and despite having a license for a long time it has taken me a while to get here so yeah I am a little pleased. I will try to shut up about it though I think I am boring everyone at work...!
