This is a warning to all zoners, do not go near Midland BM. They have taken me for a ride and are now only offering a refund of the price I paid for parts that were 'lost' in the post.

They have made no attempt to compensate me for all the calls I had to make after they repeatedly failed to call me back, the hassle and the fact that the car has been on ramps for a week waiting for the parts.

The final joke was when the monkey on the end of the phone suggested they didn't owe me anything as it was the courier who lost the parts! Clearly lacking any business, or even common, sense.

BEWARE!

Yes fuzzy, quite often if you kick up enough of a fuss, in my experience you get something back - most companies realise that it's easier to chuck you £20 than to continue with the bother of an irate customer who definitely won't spend money with them again.

The lack of existence of a presidence is of no relevance to me.

id have thought most companies know you wont spend anymore with them after the fallout so arent interested in whether you complain or not and most wont care about buying your silence . i know if i had a fall out with a customer that was outwith my control i wouldnt give then the time of day again never mind any hard cash.
depends on whether the company is desperate for any future business or not i suppose.

perhaps, but an easy way of avoiding this hassle for others would be just to avoid them. I've had hassle free parts from other breakers and so will know never to use Midland again, was just hoping to help others avoid making the same mistake.

That’s why you’re a labourer and not in marketing - literature dictates that customers which actually follow a formal complaints procedure (be it a letter to customer services or a call etc) are the most loyal customers and as a result its general practice to compensate those that complain.

a labourer? im a qualified self employed joiner with no problems with previous customers. my other post also states that it depends on how the customer or client reacts to the problem that will dictate how it is resolved. be a c**t and you will get nothing .literature dictating or not.loyal customers are borne from previous good contracts and relations.

Im 30ish miles away and have only heard about their overpricing of everything from local BMW owners.

Have also been told over the phone they have a specific part and to 'call in' to pick it up, but when I phone before making the journey the next guy on the phone tells me they dont have the part
That has happened twice, I wont attempt to try a third time.

That sort of thing really p1sses me off, had a similar story with some muppets in Bham who are supposed to be 'professional powder coaters', ended up burning £60 odd on fuel due to the amount of trips I had to make because of their constant fu*k ups :x

Where would they get sweat from? The biggest outlay of energy for the day is pushing a turd out with those types :)

have you never sat on public transport beside the 1 in 3 ratio of fat sweaty stinking of b.o office worker? ive no idea how they work up a sweat compared to the average building site worker who manages to avoid that b.o stench even after a hard days graft. winkeye

Well if I have I must have forced it out of my memory :)

One thing that comes to mind about office jockeys now you ask is how the younger 'poncey' types (pink tie, spikey highlighted hair) always stink of perfume :gay:

fair point there! i was wondering that on the way home yesterday on the tube! you never really say, see a trademen i.e. bricky sweat that much; but a lil bit of heat and the underground becomes a swimmimg pool of sweat!

interesting fact!

I read this a bit late.

I bought some parts from them, some of which were damaged, and some were just the wrong parts.

Their responses:

1. Return the wrong part, at my expense paying the postage, and they will send the right part.

2. The damaged parts (which I sent photoes of), they said 'you bought it without viewing' i.e. my fault. It was a leather item I asked 'is it ripped', their answer 'no', and it has a 1" rip right in the middle. Who would dare sell something like that?! They say if I had bought it in person this would not have happened, and that 'they wish they could help but their hands are tied'. I should have got detailed pictures before paying, but trusted them.

They never call back either. Nice company.
