Now then i seems to have created a monster when i asked how to make smoked hellas and most of you saw that your expensive lights were nought much more than originals sprayed black! Doh! so next question...... but i wont mention why i want to do it is...... how (or can you) seperate the plastic couloured lens from the light surround for the face lift rear lights. Note i do know that to remove the lenses (and holder) to remove the 8 x 8mm bolts so dont suggest that, no i want to remove the red/yellow/white clear bit from the frame.......i also dont want to go to the extent of cutting it out with a dremmel unless that is the only way. i tried heat gun but sucessfully melted the corner of my lights.... help

I don't think you can separeat it wthout breaking it, they're sealed units and like you say, using heat will just melt the lights.[/quote]
