The reflector section that acted as a filler between the rear lights was the height of fashion during the mid '80's!
The number plate was usually relocated to the rear valance. They were called tailblazers I think. I had one on my XR3i in 1986.

Similar to the panel my dad had on his E21 back in '86, still don't like them
Slightly off topic, not very powerful for an e30 turbo don't you think ?

A well known zoner has aquired this particular item and will soon have it fitted to their E30.cliffybabe wrote:yeah ratchs onej3nks79 wrote:One went on ebay a few weeks back
Its know as a Heck Dekkor.
You find them very very occasionally on ebay.de under heckeblende.
I've seen them go for well over 200EUR and then I've picked up a few for under 30EUR.
I have one on my iS and another in reserve for when I find a Cabrio that hasn't been molested - so never basically.

I think a satin black E30 with one of those would look cool. Trés nightrider.....

I had something similar on my E21 323i to replace that hateful black ribbed panel between the rear lights. I think it said 'ALPINA'.
I've seen the one of Oz's car and it looks good. Very eighties and it gives it a sort of Audi 200 look. The best place to look for these (if you can) is in Germany in the provincial small ads papers. I picked up all kinds of stuff like that including a mint Hartge three spoke steering wheel for £30.

I quite like it.... think it would suit my car...
