what do you want from your setup? 130hp? that´s a useless exercise for a M10

that still doesn´t make ANY sense.
post some numbers,
I don´t have a clue what you consider fast accelaration, or "cruzed after the accelaration band" even means..

#1. How much HP!!
#2. Where do you want the turbo to come on boost wise
#3. How will things be tuned fuel and ignition wise.
Without these there isn´t a chance of helping you.
This thread is such a fail at the moment.

well with a M10 anything is possible as they are good basic engines to start with and they can be made to have lots of HP
but we need to know what engine management you want to use
how you want the turbo to be delivered eg a big bang or progressive
and a actual horse power figure you are aiming for.
if you wanted a nice small turbo setup using a GT30 turbo and mega squirt ecu using wasted spark should give you a nice horse power figure

A driving licence and some insurance would be higher on my list of priorities than an imaginery turbo......

You could always strap a turbo and a hairdryer to your leg to blow hot air up your ass! Then worry about getting a licence...pacerpete wrote:A driving licence and some insurance would be higher on my list of priorities than an imaginery turbo......

Don't you learn?
Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY has said that this is an awful, awful idea.
First things first. You're not going to get insurance. If you don't believe me, call an insurance company, say that you want to A) If sure a car that is difficult for a 17 year old to insure standard B) You intend to modify this car by bolting a turbo on it C) You intend to make the cost justifiable by using a Bike NCB.
The best E30 for a 17 year old on all counts is a completely standard 316i Touring. Cheaper insurance, cheaper to run and yet is still enough of a car to teach you everything you need to learn about driving.

i think its a great idea. i recommend bolting on a t4 sized turbo. that shouldnt effect your insurance to much as its only small.

Before you start asking about turbos etc you need to understand them
Maximium boost by corky bell is great starting point
,after reading this you'll have a far greater understanding and won't be asking dumbass questions.
