Stereo turning on and off

Hi,

I have just fitted a new stereo to my e30 320 and when I turn it on it just turns itself on and off constantly...

Any ideas what is going on here?

if you got an amp connected to it, it may be that your power cable is too small, especially if you tried to run your head unit and your amp on the same power feed. otherwise look for damaged wires, loose wires or bad grounding. and i doubt it but maybe check your fuse's
