Well standard 316 looks alot like a standard 318/320/325.

Obviously aprt from rear discs, twin exsuast etc.

Have you looked at members E30's then gone on 316i?

Anyway heres some pics of my 318i, bought it totally standard.

Styling wise, you can polish them and they look

Image

Or you can paint the bumper and put eyebrows on it to make it look a bit meaner (like it needs help in looking mean):

Image

2nd pic was taken after someone knocked into it while it was parked on the road and gave the offside brow that lovely misaligned look and took the paint off my bumper......didn't get any pics before that happened......bastards! :x

Wassup.
I have a 316i E30 and bloody proud of it....I will be looking for an upraded engine 1s ins allows me too.....

Check what i have done to mine already...I also have a is spoiler to go on this monday cumming and next will be the engine.

honestently 325i's and them are fast yes but there are a long list that would kill them in a race...the thing is you can not get a car that looks better than a E30.

I got mine looking right......then in the future i will have her moving right too.

good luck with this 316i that you're viewing. check the usual rot points - sills, rear arches, underneath the front screen sides and rear valance in particular.

i managed to get my 316i featured in total bmw!!!! so don't let the engine size hold you back. also down some local back roads i took and left behind a 325 e46 weekend before last - engine power is good but driver skill and road knowledge counts for a whole load too.

see 'my minter' on page 1 of the photo gallery for details of mine.

Is bending the lock for your locking wheel nuts a good reason?

I have been given the advice to just hammer the nut into the lock though, so will give that a try when I get the car back.........apparently on Monday! :D
