Hi there. I am getting an intermittent high pitched screeching noise from front drivers side wheel. The noise disappears when the brakes are pressed or if i turn left or right. Would anybody have a suggestion to the problem? Cheers.

Sounds like your going to need a new wheel bearing. Is it worse when its warm? Could be brake disc runout but less likely, as the noise changes on turns. Jack the vehicle up and see if there is any top th bottom movement in the bearing, if there is then theres wear in the bearing as there shouldnt be any at all. Also try spinning the wheel as fast as possible, any grumbling noises and the bearing is shot. Hope this helps.

Have replaced the wheel bearing about 2 months ago, doesnt sound like a wheel bearing, very high pitched noise and only now and again.
