The place where the oil breather hose connects to the side of the engine in my 318iS has a crack in it so the hose end does not seal properly in this spot.

I have tried to find the plastic housing that the end of the breather pipe fits into on the ETK, but can't see it.

Would a leak around this end of the oil breather hose cause any problem?

Not familiar with the iS engine, but it will probably allow unmetered air into the engine, cause poor idle, and weaken the mixture slightly through the range.
The above is for a serious leak. A small leak probably wouldn't make any noticeable difference.

Thanks Brian,

I wonder would this be contributing to my misfire issue?
