According to good old Practical performance car mag...

e30= 4x100, 57mm center bore, 18-25 offset.

Renault 19/21/laguna/espace/clio = 4x100, 60mm center bore, 35-38mm offset.

so the wheels will go on but will not sit right in the arches either requiring spacers or sticking out too far, i think (can never remember which way offset works).

in that case, spacers will be needed. also, the wheels won't centre without sourcing correct spigot rings (easy enough on aftermarket wheels)

that said, you should use hubcentric spacers otherwise the centres won't locate anyway and you'll get horrible wheel wobble.

vw 4 stud is the correct pcd (4x100) and centrebore (57.1) but is usually the wrong offset, needing spacers

Cheers guys its interesting, as soon as you say "Bmw" people just seem to think £Â£Ã‚£ kerching!! :x

I thought it might be an easier way of getting some decent wheels instead of my 14" " Bottletops ".

unfortunatley rwdonly, bmw decided to use a pretty unique offset for the e30 meaning nearly all other wheels will need specers. you'll need to budget a fair bit o cash for decent hubcentric spacers like H and R etc cos like gareth sais cheap ones will lead to wobbling at best and a wheel comin off at worse...

I had 20mm spacers on the rear of my car before i started the kit and even driving carefully i found myself wobbling about on sainsburys car park, on careful inspection i found only 1 badly bent wheel nut still holding my 9x16 on the back the rest had sheared and were rattling about behind the center cap, i will NEVER use anything other than hubcentric spacers again and strongly advise anyone not to do so 8O 8O 8O 8O

Toyota MR2 MK1 & MK3 wheel will fit but you will need spigot rings and possibly spacers.

MMM i think this is coming through loud and clear!

There doesnt seem to be an easy way of getting around it, i did speak to someone else about swapping parts over to change the bolt pattern to a more friendly BMW 5 stud, this may be the way for me.

I really appreciate the time you guys have taken to answer, thankyou, the more i work on my car, the more i appreciate it.

the only way to go 5 stud properly is to source M3 stuff, not cheap and you'll probably be a grand out of pocket before you get round to even looking at some wheels

I quite like the idea of the Mk1 clio 16v turbine alloys on an E30

the bore size on almost all wheel fitment guides is wrong in the case of the 4 stud E30. it's 57.1mm, the same as VW.
