I just did a search, and there isn't a SINGLE topic on the so called 'Hot Soak' procedure.

So im going to compile a how2 for you all. :D

not sure y! but i asumed the hot soak title was for injectors !

I thought the hot soak was to de-coke the valves ?

Its about cleaning the internals of your engine, getting ride of the carbon...
THte guys in the US go nuts about it think its amazing...but we have better petrol than them, has more cleaners already in it.

Have tried it before, seam to make a difference, aslo make a big cloud of black smoke! (do it on a windy day...)

You can either use reddex are according to the e30 God (Ove..) plain old water has similar effects...

all you do is take the vacuum hose from the fuel regulator and let the engine suck it up suchhhhhh, some engines are thierstier than others!

Ooops didn't mean to right a tech article...one with pics and stuff would be cool..
