I was once told autoboxes are better for the 1/4 mile due to it staying in its torque band longer :?

Its all about the CA Karan :P

What sort of power does the GT25 turbo give.

Our 200sx is an ca18det with an s14 turbo(and all the other gubbins) and its about 260-270bhp but with-a-lotttttta lag.

see how the Aussies have things figured out, M20 mill gives up the ghost, forget sourcing another BMW mill and chuck some JDM rightness in there. :D

Why?
It's cheaper to buy a front cut from a jap wreck than to buy another engine or to source one for that matter. BMW engines are hard to get. Once they go, most people tend to bolt in another engine as it's easier and less hassle. PLUS, if you go down in capacity, you ok when it comes to regs (From my last understanding. Go above the OE capacity, and you have to get the thing engineered for brakes and mounts etc. Go down, and the world is your oyster!!)

Great car, I stuck the BMW 4.0l V8 in mine, ready for the traffic light drags when it gets shipped back.

What's the go with the shifter? Could you get anything else to fit? Looks shite with that there!!

(Oh, originally, I'm from Sydney!!)[/i]
