Hi guys
Would the std head bolts do for a turbo setup?
If not what length studs would I require for a 2.7 low comp setup ie: 325 head, block & pistons and eta crank and conrods with a std head gasket?
Thanks in advance

Standard bolts are fine (certainly for a mildish setup)
Think you need M10x160mm 12.9s or something as an upgrade though.

I have a set of 12.9s though I'm not too sure of the length bearing in mind it was used on an E30. 323 with std gasket and 3mm decomp.
What's the max length bolts that can be used on a 325 head and block?
Cheers

Stock are 150mm, you can use 160mm with the 3mm decomp plate.
I've done some workings out, measured thread depths etc, just to make sure.
Measure them from the end of the cap to the threaded end, don't include the cap tho.
Either length are available, I've supplied many sets of each now and used my own set about 6 times!

Cheers Turbo-Brown.
Mark I think I have the 160mm bolts which I bought from you lol.
Is it possible to get my 160's machined down to 150mm ? Just a thought as I have them on hand

Not possible really, you would need to cut & shut them but that's not gonna happen. Good try though!isTURBO wrote:Cheers Turbo-Brown.

Ha ha ha just thought that it might have been worth a shot. You know what they say " you'll never know unless you don't ask".
I live and learn and at a very high price I might add lol.
Cheers
