Is it always at 3/4, ever higher? or lower? Does it creep up in traffic?

Cause you maybe leeking water into the cyclinders, that's why it needs a lot of rev's to get going again....

If you do have cooling problems, there are a couple of little things that you can do on an m10 to make it run better...there cheap! (that unless you want to replace the head...)

ive only had the car since sunday and am not too sure if it changes but since ive driven it its stayed at 3/4

arc's is that the spark jumping between the leads i will have tohave a look in a bit like you say when its dark

so what about the temp gauge then mate do u think i might have a problem with the cooling??? like i said i dont know much about the car but if i can fix her im gonna sell her i need an e30 whith a manual gearbox

hello again ive just been out there and had a look for arc's but nothing but it did cut out and there was a buzzing noise coming from the carb it didnt stop till i swiched the ignition off ive no idea what that was anybody?????

hmm, could well be over heating, but if its just cutting out, don't see why overheating would cause that...

Sorry i have no idea about carbs.... i do know that si316 has had problems with his...

looks like im pretty screwd at the moment then :cry: i desprately want to fix it cause i get realy :oops: when it cuts out at traffic lights do u think i was ripped off i swapped for a 1.6 vauxhall cavalier

Save your money on buying new bits or getting it repaired, 10p for a box of matches and just finish the mutha off, and push dog shit through the letterbox of whoever you bought it off.
