I have tried to change the bulb in my auto selector. I took it apart and found no bulb and no holder. Just a few wires. Want to put something in as its "guess the gear" at the moment . Any ideas?

if the wires have mini spade connectors on then you simply need a new bulb and holder. They are available from BMW.
The ones on my car seemed to have been ripped out by the gearlever at some stage, so I had to put new connectors on.

I have one wire which is green and yellow. There are others but they seem to be doing something else. The one wire i do have seems to have been cut for some reason. I was thinking that there should be at least 2 wires though.
