How about this - your post doesn't make a lot of sense. Also you've posted it in "Other BMW" section which kind of begs the question - what model you're talking about? If you want to know the price for new original parts ask Zimmerbimmer in the Genuine BMW Parts Dept section

lol theres only few models that have this dreaded thing and there all similar price to rebuild! as there simlar units the cars in question are e34 and e32 and e39 8 pots only. but then if you new stuff about the other bmw ranges you wouldnt have made that silly remark as its in other bmw its oviously going to be a bmw steering box lol! any one have any constuctive suggestions?

My 2002 has a steering box, so do lots of other BMW, it was only fair to expect you give a clue!

There is a chap I know that rebuilds steering boxes I'll see if I can dig out his number. He likes cash too.
