Blue is also the brave choice and the choice of a man who knows what they want.
Black says your safe and arn't a risk taker. You always said black isn't your favorite choice, you have the perfect oppertunity to change now.

If you prefer the blue - go for it!
So you are going to keep it black for the sake of a future owner that may never appear anyway? Its YOUR car - you pant it blue, stick the gold decals on it and enjoy it! Otherwise you'll just sit in the damn thing everyday thinking about how nice it could have looked.
Or Dakar yellow - if you're feeling really brave.

Looks like Royal Blue. Alpina, going from the previous images is a bit more Cyan.Andyboy wrote:That's Alpina blue! Royal blue is a bit darker than that. B3 2.7 with grey bumpers

That blue is
if I were lucky enough to own a Alpina and wasn't a pennyless looser thats the colour I'd choose.

i have read the "resto my pina" thread with much interest but with little to add and now this thread being a sideline to to cover the colour deabte so 'll throw in my two cents.
i would imagine if it were me, despite hosting the poll i would know already what color it was going to be painted, especially with it in the shop by now, i would probably have this thread for the good banter (that it is) and just be grateful when someone posted something that justified my orginal choice.
however if you are still deciding here's yet another 2cent.
personally i think blue is the nicer color - not only that i think it is the "better" color - of course subjectivity and all that but i reckon if you asked yourself which is the nicer/smarter/more alpina esque color you would indeed say that it is blue. i am all for a bit of facism and dictatorship and all that so i beleive it is possible to say that everyone should think the same as i do!!
put it this way - imagine the car is finished and there are two sets of keys, one of them lets you drive home in that very special looking blue alpina, which set of keys do you choose? - if i were the one holding the keys i can already see the gold stripes turn the corner out of view as i try to imagine how i am going to sell the tec1 lookalike with go faster stickers.....

If the choice was Alpina Blue for £4K in paint and prep , or Diamond Black for £2K paint and prep, are we all so sure its the blue coming back out the door ??

If that's how it is Ant, I'd put money on it coming out the door black.
It's Si's car, and his choice ultimately, if it was 2k for EITHER colour, the blue would have to win hands down, but is it really worth twice the price?
Black with silver stripes is ALMOST equally nice...

I'd spend the extra 2k on blue too, but then I'm not very good with money.
