I recently put a post on asking for advice on fitting a 525 into my 320. Do the 2 cars use the same gearboxes? also can i use the rear disc setup from the 525 to put onto the 320? Any other interesting facts/info would be great thanks

525's come in two forms fella
E34 525i pre '90 is M20 BA engine
E34 525i post '90 is M50 24V mill
Which are you thinking of ??
M20 will bolt up using all the existing G/box, fly and prop etc
M50 requires a little more though and some wiring, but neither is a massive challenge
Re the brakes, Short Answer is NO, 5 stud rear hubs for starters dude

5 stud... I totally forgot about that!!! Im going for the 12 valve first of all, purely for the reason that its quicker to do and easier. Im new to the E30 game, although not new to engine changes/mechanics etc, so will be a nice learning curve on a vehicle thats new to me. In the future i would like to drop a 24v lump in but im hoping the 40bhp step up to the 2.5 should be enough for now! As im sure youve guessed im still building up knowledge of these cars so all info is helpful!
Thanks for the advice! Mark
