Are looking at fitting the 5 stud wheels to your 4 stud E30??

If so I am trying exactly the same thing at the moment from an E34. I have been told there are only two sorts of hubs you can use... either the complete E30 M3 setup, or possibly an E36 Compact.

I've experimented with neither so only telling you what I've been told!!!

failing that I'm looking into having some hub adapters made... by this person on ebay

Thanks

We have definatly agreed I will buy some of them Ԛ£149.99, however we cnt work out at the moment what the centrebore of the hubs are. I've got the following conflicting measurements of websites

www.teamruk.com
E30 - centrebore 57
E34 - centrebore 72.5

www.rochfordtyres.co.uk
E30 - centrebore 72.6
E34 - centrebore 72.6

the company that will do the adapters think the e30 centrebore is 57.1!!!

Does anyone know for definate????

Thanks
Marc

Pasted from an email i got today...

These are built to fit a 4/100, 57.1mm center bore (all e30's) and adapt to a 5/120 (72.56mm center bore), which is a 5-lug e36/e46 pattern.

My previous comment did not mean that I used adapters but that I used bushes for the front stub axle and for the rear wheel centre and then re-drilled the hubs. You can only do this if you have discs on the rear and by changing the front hubs to E36. If you want to know more ring me.

Sorry to dig this up from the dead, but I was told u can't make adaptors for 4x100 pcd to 5x120 pcd, due to something with one of the holes is on top of the other...quite annoying.

So what I did was get the wheels Re-PCD'd to 4x100 which can only be done if the back of the wheel is solid, and doesn't have hollow gaps between the Stud holes
