If i were to convert my auto to manual what parts would i need?
Pedal/s
Box
Prop
Diff...
Gearstick assembly
Clutch gubbins
Could anyone take a pic of the hydraulic clutch setup on the e30?
Or would i be best sellin this car and startin with a manual.. Like the beast Ian has for sale atm..

Reverse light switch loom, spigot bearing, flywheel.
I'm on no. 3 conversion at the moment. Don't agree it's a massive amount of work, but it's not something to undertake on a weekend afternoon. Decent facilities i.e. hydraulic ramp, are usefull as well.
Don't see what's wrong with using the original ECU.

anything is easy when you know how. Brian you have worked on E30's for a long time going by your posts? Think how long this would take even with the tools and the knowledge. A good few days i expect

HI just a note to say the ECU will require re- coding for manual tran,
The ECU can be coded up to 10 times, then NEW ECU

dan325isport has done this to his car its not that bad to do the ecu's are the same you have exter one in the boot for the autobox

There is nothing in the conversion that is technically difficult, just that there's quite a bit to do, and some heavy bits to remove and fix in place.
All possible on good axle stands as long as you get them high enough.
The auto diff will have a higher ratio than the one that should be fitted for the manual, but not essential to change at the same time. You'll get better acceleration and no worse fuel consumption than you did with the auto.
One other part I've thought of which you will need is the gearbox crossmember, but I would strongly recomend that anyone doing this conversion obtains a complete donor vehicle for the bits.

mine was an auto but now is a manual so it has the auto diff>>>????

Hiya, Im considering doing the same with my auto but im also considering changing the engine while im at it because mine is a bit tired now. It seems like alot of work so i really dont know what to do and i suppose you feel the same way.
If you find out any good information then itd be great if you could let me know.
