I just managed to get a few pics before it got too dark, they aren't great as the sun had gone down by the time I took these.

The turnout wasn't massive but there was a good sociable bunch there and it was good to put some faces to names as usual.

The highlight for me had to be the three stunning looking E28s.
There was a 528i with Alpina kit (I think) on it, an M535i and an M5, all of which looked absolutely immaculate! 8)

Only four E30s including mine turned up! :?

Great burgers as usual though, and in my opinion is a very cool venue! :D

Thanks, they aren't that good though! :?

The sky was actually much darker than it looks in the photos. It was 'headlights on' dark by then!

It was a bit of a shame there wasn't a bigger turn out but on warmer summer evenings I think this meet will be great! 8)

Damn! I must have run out of memory card to have not included your stunning Rover! :D

I think my next car (not that I want to change from the E30 yet) might well be another E28, but with a silly engine! winkeye

Steve, that photo is quite biologically intersting! :?

And that is one mutha of a burger! :D 8)

I bet your car felt a bit slower on the way home with the extra weight of your stomach after that lot! The portions aren't small! 8O :D 8)

Thanks! :)
The new wheels aren't my first choice by a long way, I much prefered the look of my deep dish 15" BBS wheels but the big brakes that I hope to fit soon wouldn't fit inside them! :(

After my chilli burger and the half ton of fries I couldn't even think about a dessert! 8O

BBS multi-spoke always look so right on slightly older BMWs! 8)

I'm doing the Audi TT 312mm disc / E32 7-series calipers conversion, I've re-sealed and painted my calipers and I bought new discs already machined to fit (from a fellow Zoner), just waiting on the caliper mounting brackets to be made.

I've passengered in an E30 with this set up and it was very good! :)

It's a cheap way of getting massive and very effective brakes, but not the lightest of weight! :?

Any time dude, I'm just waiting for the caliper mounting brackets to be made up. I've re-sealed and painted the calipers so I'm ready and eager to get them fitted.
You'll have to come out in it when it's got the turbo engine in too! winkeye :D

Driftboy.. Your new wheels upset me.. The old ones looked soo good.. Bet they are heavier also, which added to the extra weight of the new brakes isnt good :( :P

Was there no 280mm 4 pot options suitable?!

:chuckle:

I'm upset about the wheels too! :(
And yes, they are heavier. And so will the brakes be.

Those deep dished BBS wheels had less room behind them than the standard E30 BBSs so I very much doubt that any brake size upgrade would have fitted, the standard 325i caliper was only millimeters from the spokes!

I have got two other sets of 17" wheels but they both require spacers and I had trouble getting hold of the hubcentric type at a reasonable price so I got impatient and bought the ones that are on there now.

I might change them fairly soon, if I find the spacers I want.
