In my book, any E30 owner running around with 'eyebrows' should be ashamed of themselves!
Quite the most unnecessary and tasteless mod possible...

Nice cabby, almost as nice as mine
bfutter - what the hell are you going on about, I rekon about 50% of the cars on the Zone have eyebrows. The first mod on all the E30's i've owned, eyebrows rule!

Gone but not forgotten.

No accounting for taste - I bet you dissenters can't wait to pebble dash your houses as well and I guess B&Q special period front doors would be a given....

Fool? Yes guilty as charged as I meant to say 'stone cladding' rather than 'pebble dashing' it's an altogether more appropriate parallel.
I wonder how many of the 50% of Zoners to go for this abomination are 25 or under?
Apart from colour coding a convertible hard top and just about at a pinch genuine Alpina wheels, I can't think of one other 3rd party mod that improves on the vision of the BMW design guys who made sure everything worked in perfect harmony in the first place,

i colour coded my door handles, shit, am i in trouble now?

oh, and i've got brows too... and yes, i am indeed under 25. to me the e30 looks far to happy and gay with open eyes, theres nothing better than the evil frown the brows give it.

Thank you Bailey for the exposition!
Next time I'm confronted with one of these abnormal frowny faces I promise I'll try to get the point.
And I know this is veering off topic, but traditionalist that I am, I also can't stand football squad numbers, names on shirts and logos on every square inch of clear fabric...
Another case where more is demonstrably less.

So we are all clear. I certainly dont conform to the norm when it comes to the E30. Im 23 and I dont like eye brows, Im not all that keen on blacked out Kidney Grills and I dont like Alpina wheels unless they are the original 16s.
But peoples taste is their own Im not going to lash out at anyone for it, because I don't agree. At the end of the day however its been tarted up (good or bad) Its still an E30 underneath, which is a fantastic car. End Of.

no you need to learn that coming on here and giving out random shouts of abuse will get a reaction if he was a sheep everyone would like the same thing so there would be no abuse have a good read through the site and take note that people accept constructive critism not stupid comments

Granted, he may not have put the comments after appropriately but didn't see what's wrong with that, I've seen a lot of people put comments a lot worse then his.. But 'cos his post count doesn't sit in the thousands he's got to pick his words carefully or you all jump on him?
Saying he doesn't like eyebrow spoilers and it's a bad mod in his taste is a stupid comment? Because you disagree? Typical.
I don't need to learn anything thanks, I havn't provoked any comments or shown a lack of respect... But you're just as bad as him with your comments (but because your post count is xxxx amount it's okay! I forgot!).. so perhaps you should practise what you preach.

Ian_M .. everyone on here is allowed an opinion which bfutter stated clearly in the first post ... if he thinks they are tastless, then fine. What he doesn't need to do, after a whopping 13 posts, is try to liken all those with eyebrows as having pebble dashed houses and B&Q front doors and being under 25.
Got nothing to do with post counts .. just that he is not known by other zoners.
And back on topic .. hope all goes well with the new engine. Nice looking cab you have.
And yes - at 39 years old - I have eyebrows on my cab !!

Thank you Ian for your partial defence.
An organization I used to belong to was dedicated to the gentle art of koi keeping - a bitchier more humourless lot you couldn't ask to meet.
And as Ian also points to, you can always expect to generate maximum ire from serial posters who get exercised by what they see is violation of their territory.
My last words on these unnecesary protuberances...
Surely everyone here is attracted to the E30, initially at least, by the 'rightness' of the design in the same way as a 70s CS series and and 80s 6-Series.
How some tacky after market maufacturer can design something that adds something to the party visually (there is no practical benefit) I would suggest is pushing the barriers of what is possible into dreamland.
Part of the fun of ownership is a bit of tweakery and I am not against changes to the original per se but working within the OEM menu.
I wonder where some of you guys draw the line - bonnet bras anyone?
