Have to say a huge thank you to Andy for coming down and helping me for a full 8 hours today, to sort out my shed of an e30 ready for the race down to le mans this thursday. invaluable help and tools, cheers mate!

if you hadn't come down i'd still be under the bloody thing now!

my m30 now has a sump gasket installed and an oil pump that's clean and torqued down properly for the first time since it spat its chain sprocket off :x hopefully that won't happen halfway through france

couldn't get the front crank hub off to install the oil pump chain tensioner though, the nut came off easy but despite a lot of heat and a lot of abuse with a lump hammer the eventual outcome was i broke Andy's hub puller, oops  sorry mate!

HOW NICE DOES YOUR CAR SOUND

not forgotten ya Giles, just been well busy. it ain't for sale for a few weeks at least so i'll speak to you after le mans (or on saturday night if i have to get towed home :x )

pics should work, think it was just photobucket being crap

went to my local scrappy and picked up four crank position sensors for a fiver, so if that was the problem then it won't be anymore!

the end of mine had been bitten off by the crank wheel at some point, no wonder it was causing a problem

Excellent.

I might do Le Mans next year.

You getting the ferry?

We come back from the Ring monday night too, via Calais. Ferry is with Seafrance at 11:45pm. Might try to get a slightly earlier one depending on what occurs!
