Looks well.

Give me a shout if you want the front lip, fogs, PAS rack, RHR brackets etc.

Not sure but I prefer the standard black one - Im a little worried about what I might find when I take it off though so its staying where it is for now.

Cheers for the positive comments guys - After I fit the 15" BBS the next few improvements will be "under the skin" but will keep posting anyway.

It's nice to see a more 'normal' E30 for a change. I don't think beige has ever looked so good! 8)
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure...

Don't think so - I could probably get some of it out but it would need filling and painting to make good - better looking for a replacement wing.

Schweet  I put the same interior in my first E30 (which also replaced a Capri as it happens!). Next for the tech-1 rear spoiler & a 35mm drop on the BBS... winkeye

The other side from the sill that was repaired

But also fitted my new 15" BBS - they could do with a refurb but clean up quite well - will try and get some better pics.......and I know it needs lowering OK !! 8)

Front airdam now looks better with the bigger wheels - might keep it after all

Need a drop on suspension like my old 320i - anyone got a rough idea what springs would give this sort of drop ?

Image

I don't want the thing dragging on the floor - probably as low as a standard Tech1 sport or maybe just a touch lower - 40mm maybe ? - do I need the same drop at the back and front ?

Have never fitted lowered springs/shocks myself before - my 320i came with the kit already on.

Apolgies for the poor pic - need a better scanner

Mtec 1 rear soiler would look good whilst not being over the top.

another vote for keeping the front spoiler Rob, and i would agree the tech one boot spoiler would be a subtle addition

edit; but then again, what do i know about subtle winkeye

A set of 40mm eibach springs all round would do the trick idealy matched to bilstein shock absorbers, not to low great handeling and a decent ride as well.

Here's a pic of mine to give you an idea of how it would look height wise.

That looks spot on. Only problem is £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£Ã‚£.......Probably easiest to save up and do the PAS conversion, replace all the bushes and the dampers/springs all in one go rather than doing it a bit at a time.....looks like I need to find some stuff round the house to flog on ebay !

Car now has power steering thanks to Chris-W and is MUCH easier to drive ! Also fixed the floppy front bumper corner yesterday and the bonnet stays up on its own thanks to a new bonnet strut !.......PAS was a big job but the little improvements like the bonnet strut and bumper make all the difference and are cheap and easy to do.

Am now compiling a list of ALL the niggly faults no matter how small so I can go through the whole car - seems most of them can be fixed very cheaply.

Shame its peeing down with rain....I would have even put a sponge over it today :D

Couple more jobs done....
Image
Wobbly bumper corner replaced note sure if it should be slightly higher up with less of a gap at the top but there wasnt a lot of adjustment to be had - at least it insnt rusted through and flopping about any more !

Image
Been wanting to fit my spare rear headrests for a while - thanks to Ed325i for the brackets

While I had the back seat out also removed the fuel sender from the tank and cleaned out the gauze on the pickup - fuel pump now much quieter and I think it starts a little easier too - Result ! :D

This is coming along nicely. As has been said, a 35mm drop and will look great! Some new wheel badges would be a nice detail and are cheap from the dealer (about £8 for four iirc)

Thanks for the positive comments guys. I'm a bit strapped for cash at present as I'm in the process of taking the leap into self employment - hence the slow progress on improving the car.

Going to order some new wheel centres ASAP and the Eibach/Bilstein combo will be fitted once I start actually making some money.

In the meantime although I don't have much cash I do have time so will be tackling the cleaning and detailing jobs !

Doing some cleaning and poking around in readiness for the midlands meet -

Image
Foglights don't work. Investigation revealed that they are rotten as fook. Power is getting there but the bulb holder is so rusty that I can't get a good enough connection to make them work. This was the side I managed to get out - the screws holding the other side are small cross-heads which someone has already had a go at that are seized solid

Previous owner told me that the car has a stainless steel exhaust fitted. I didn't really believe him but a little time and effort revealed this :

Image

The main box polishes up to a proper chrome finish - the centre box appears to be the same but I can't find a manufacturers name or any sort of serial number stamp anywhere on them 8O Judging by the quality of the welds holding the tailpipes on I'm assuming that it may be some sort of "custom" system.
Unfortunately there is that much road-crap stuck to them that even the mechanical mop won't shift most of it - might have to buy a dremel for the stubborn bits.
