...not that you dirty buggers

I know some of you have fitted 6.5" (16cm) speakers in the front of e30s.

anyone got any pics to show me how far they stick out or the methods you used to mount them.

I have a set of mahoosive components, am just trying to decide whether to fit or not.

As usual, thanks in advance :thumb:

not my thing mate, i used these components in my previous e30 with a set of door pods and didnt like it. you lose your door pocket, you cant flip e30 sports sets forward without hitting the speakers, and they're so heavy the doorcards sag.

I want the sound but i want them mounted in the front, just wondering how to do it.

cheers for the replys tho.

oh, and 6x9s......yuk :D

I think the speakers i have, have a really deep back to then as they need to come at least an inch out from the hole to fit. you can see what i used to have in that thread, they just pi*ed me off after a while. :D

lol, didn't see the covers til it was too late and they were fitted, the actual driver were great so ideally i'd like to mount them in the footwells with a slightly more stealthy grill.
