I have just purchased a 1987 325 cab which has chrome bumpers . Can these be replaced with the later plastic ones ?
Ideally would like to get my hands on a mtec 2 kit ? Are the aftermarket kits a no go ?
Chrome bumpers ?

Believe it or not putting a tec2 kit on a chrome bumper model aint that bad, and tec 2 kits are easier to source rather than a tec1 kit the skirts are like rocking horse pooh.
The tec2 saloon kit will fit a cabby u have to put a slit in either corner of the 2 side skirt but th epods clip on, Only give away is the rear lights they will stay old style unless u fit the same u had on ur tec2 saloon
But leave the chrome where it is

I'm picking up a 320 (with a 325 in it) next week and it is chrometastic! - I love the old style, it's a D reg 87 and looks cool compaired to my 90 H total de-chromed.
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.
Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....
