How much you got left to do?

I'm hoping that the arrival of my new "gary alloys" sometime this week will spur me on to finish these throttle bodies. I machined another one of the tubes up today, only I over cooked it slightly so now whilst 5 cylinders have a 40(+/-0.01)mm bore, one has a wopping 40.12mm bore :x

That'll teach me operate heavy machinery whilst half asleep!

I'm aiming to have my MS wired in this weekend.

Won't be connecting up totally, just get it wired up and the loom wires indentified, labelled and appropriate connections bought and in stock.

Bar the coolant temp switch, which needs a hole tapping into one of the blanks near the ecu coolant temp switch, the rest seems quite straightforward and I must keep in mind that heat is gonna kill wires so need to protect them from the imaginary downpipesa and turbo ......

Will report on my attempts......

I got a V6 coil pack from a cavalier. It's got a nice standard connector on it :)

Emerald told me to get a coil pack from any V6 ford or vauxhall though :)

is that a single coil pack or a multi coil?
i was hoping to use wasted spark as in three coils one per two cylinders?

Exhaust and charge pipes were ordered today, I got 2 metres 2.5 inch , 3 2.5 inch 90 degree elbows and 4 45 degree elbows, all I gotta do now is weld them all together

The MS is ready to fit, all the groundwork is there, I plan an all nighter this Friday to get this up and running

Sal, you're more than welcome too help  you should know by now I dont rush anything, especially when the best part of 4K is in the balance

No need to write one up pilt, the guys in the US have been there , done that.

check out this site for some excellent info, he lists what sensors were used too, although the MS software allows you to use any sensor providing you know its range and output, theres a util to alter the actual MS code to facilitate this  link : http://jdturbocharging.com/14801/index.html

HTH, it did for me, any other info check out www.e30tech.com and hit the turbo forum

Hey Ant,

Sounds like you're making too much progress!

Where'd ya get your pipe from mate?

I'm planning on making an entire system for mine with 2" pipes to replicate the standard system only without the centre silencer so it should look standard even if it doesn't sound it.

Think I'm gonna have to call on a couple of mates to give me a hand to catch up this weekend!

Cheers!

I got the pipe direct form Wa;lker exhausts, its 3mm mild steel , you can get 2M lengths and they offer 30/45/90 degree bent sections too dude

not the best but will suffice for a few years and certainly not break the bank

I am 100% commited to my budget
