Does anyone know somewere that can do cylinder head work? Im looking to get combustion chambers polished aswell as exhaust and inlet ports polished and matched to the manifolds.

Ive already had a 3 angle valve grind done on the head. Ive started one of the combustion chambers but i just dont have the time to do it myself.

Im looking for somewere preferably in the northwest but for a good job id consider sending it elsewere.

Cheers!

yes mate thats the manifold, it totally didnt fit. Wouldnt even clear the suspension strut properly! and then there was the steering column and gearbox bell housing in the way.

Ill be having some manifold flange plates made up at the end of the month to make a custom manifold. i dont know if u'd be interested in one but giza shout if you are mate!

That is plain rude, thought the guy told you that it would fit?

have you ever though of modifiying a m42 header?, with a different flange on it? or are the cyclinder spaces completly different...

The guy said it would fit an m10 but wasnt sure if it would fit in an e30 chassis.

The ports on the iS are a totally different shape plus i got a wicked idea for a custom manifold

Si, do you mind letting me know what kind of money fritzbits charge, so i have a better idea whether to work on the engine in my 316 or drop an M30 in.

Aslo can you give me a rough idea about the kind of results i could get from my engine, 1.8 carb.

Cheers :thumb:

Me too....!
Kedge, you could always get the work done on a m30 head! its only an m10 with two extra cyclinders.....!

Fritz want Ԛ£350 for the work, ive got afew other places that im waiting to hear back from. maybe if theres afew of us who want them doing maybe we could get some kind of group discount going??

You can get some really good results from the m10's it depends how much you want to throw at them. with my setup ive been told by people in the know to expect anywere from 160-200bhp, im not sure myself but would be nice. The work im having done and the way its being built should mean its a real nice engine to drive aswell.

Gwyn, havent seen another hartge manifold anywere have ya. im kickin myself about that one on ebay as its no there now i want it d'oh!

Doubt it would have fitted a RHD anyway...
I approached Stahl in the states a while back, and they did not want to even think about a RHD....

Is the Ԛ£350 for stage 4 then?
Might plump for that on my new head....would be awsome!

no mate thats 350 for just the polishing and porting the stage 4 has bigger valves and more work.

Ive contacted ireland engineering about the stahl headers, i think the only way were gonna have tubular manifolds is to have them custom made. Ive got a crackin idea that im gonna try out. Giza shout on msn and ill let ya in on it as its gonna be kept under wraps 8)
