hey fellow e30 fans got a 318is coupe having problems and vibrations coming and speed from the wheels i checked the wheels and there seems to be play in the front wheels from side to side

i took the wheels of to check bearings and they seem fine but on both front wheels the whole hub seems to have a bit of play in it ie movings when i rock it some of the bushes look to be a bit worn ie antirollbar bushes have play in them and as far as im aware the track rod ends look fine along with the steering rack

any ideas???

Wheel bearings are very hard to see if they are worn you normally here them like a drone. Vibrations are more often ball joints on the control arms and more noticable under braking.

If you are checking the wheel bearings do not jack the car up to test as they will appear fine with no loading unless they are amazingly shagged.
If I can't fix it I'll f**k it up so bad nobody can!!

What about braking, any vibration there? Just wondering if the discs might be warped. Also, how old are the tyres? If they've been on since before you had the car you don't know what sort of abuse they've had & if the casings are damaged.
