i have a set on my e34 but know that they originate from e36 m3 saloon are these wheels made for e34's or just e36's allso if there from e36 and not designed for e34 what would they need for spacing etc? could sombody tell me if they are replicas (witch i assume they are) and if they were made by ronal as i have heard does anyone know the correct wheel name? http://www.cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-M3-alloy- ... dZViewItem

You'd need at least a 15mm spacer to fit.

They are the M contour rims. Came off the E36 M3.

You will need spacers. As stated.

Definitely contour wheels, they were made by BBS, if you look close to the valves you can see BBS written on the raised section. They are original by the looks of it, as they have the recess for the ///M badges.

the ones i have are reps then as they dont have the badge bit and have the same dish all rims no wider rears etc. does anyone know wo made the reps? and what the correct offset would be for the e34? if wrong offset could it caise the car to shake at 60 70 mph, was fine in the past but wondering now ive done all suspension bushes etc weahter the heels are starting to show there true colours! they have 235s on allround and apear to wonder allot in road cambers is this normal? would it be better outting 225's on the front instead? one of the tyres is worn badly on the oouter edge as the tracking was bad b4 replacement of bushes could this tyre wear cause the bad shaking/vibration?

After doing the suspension work, have you had the tracking checked?

Offset won't effect vibration, the wheels just won't fit in the arch properly.

Wear on the outside edge could either be geometry or ragging it round roundabouts... which wheel is wearing most?

i have had the wheels balanced and tracked and all is ok, it was the passenger side wheel that was excessivly out tracling wise and killed the outer edge with this edge now been worn could ths cause the shaking?

They reminds me a bit of the flying star wheels you can get on a E34 M5....

Those wheels aren't bad. A bit heavy though. I didn't know they were BBS.

Didn't they only appear on the Evo version of the M3? I remember them on the early Evo saloons (96 on) and they were 8x17 225 F, 9x17 245 R I think. Not sure though.
