What an amazing day. Turned out beautiful so I jumped out of bed this morning and gave the E30 some real proper detailing. Few hours later, the sky was still pretty so just before the sun kissed the horizon I popped the two cars out, courtesy of my sidekick driver, the wife, for a few much needed photos.

I'm really loving the C2, it's going into Pacerpete's tomorrow for an autopsy - I'm going to bring this car back to pristine health, I want it to be one of the best E30's in the country - I hope it's up for the task. The car's in pretty immaculate condition as it is, but there's still a few things that need to be done.

I'm now genuinely challenged by my choice of car on a sunny weekend day :)

I'm a big fan of the GT3 RS, but even then, the GT3 is a fantastic car, I bet you love that 8400rpm redline winkeye . Do you take it on tracks often?

Nice to see that the C2 can live up to the pleasures of a modern day supercar.

It takes a brave man to order a white car but its suits the GT3 perfectly! Having repaired and driven a 996 carrera4 and a 996 GT3 i know how awesome these cars are and a 911 is on the list of "cars to own before i die". Awesome pair of cars you have an look forward to seeing the progress on the C2.

Just one bit of advice, loose the mud flaps! :puke:

Nice collection!

The Porsche's registration plate would look the part on an Alpina B10 Bi-Turbo, and I hear Peter's got one festering in Iver! Tell me you're not tempted! :P

As much as I like E30's, there wouldn't be much contest when choosing which one to drive :D

Looks very nice but get that bloody Porsche out of the way would you :P

Welcome to the thankless and costly task of C2 ownership. To hell in a poo box as Pete would say.

Here's mine prior to its forthcoming and painstaking restoration:

Bit of both really, I drove the GT3 there and I drove the C2 back. Wife finds the C2 more comforting - the GT3 scares her.

Yeah I do - I'm probably at the ring a few times a year and will do at least a dozen UK trackdays. Have done 3 already this year and have a number of them booked up. Monza is on the calendar this year.

Gosh, that Alpina is awesome :P Of course, you can't deny the Porsche looks quite good too

P.S. Are the seats in the Alpina the same as the Recaros which came in E30 and Ford Sierra?

From what I understand, the 325i Sport seats never have been Recaros - but these are from the same seat yes.
