I have an E28 M5 that i use for track days  Lovely car but try buying anything for it after market. Problem is 187RHD cars produced for the UK=sod all demand

The link above is a company that will make springs to your individual spec, ride height, stiffness, progessive or linear, you name it they design it and produce it inc powdercoating.

Why, well £50 per spring, proper design (ie spring is under tension and not loose like Spax rubbish). Added to this if you have done an M30 conversion you will need to sort the extra weight problem on the front end, these guys are your answer.
An E30 touring, two E28 M5's and an E28 528i.

LH spring = Faulkner custom made
MID spring = H&R 325 35MM lowering
RH spring = M3 aircon standard spring

Would have to agree, I have been running a set of custom made front springs supplied by Faulkner on my M30 conversion for a couple of weeks now and so far I'm well happy with them.
They where able to supply a spring that suited my requirements eg ride height, rating etc and also very helpfull and happy to chat
Early results are good and the ride/handling/feel of the car have been transformed :D

Didn't want to harsh as daily road car so went for a 20% uprate over the H&R spring I sent them, so think spring is in the region of 270 ibs ? on the second rating as spring has slight progression to it, coil size is up as well.

Would agree, the rating for me was really a bit of guess work and advice from the supplier, sent the old spring and the required sizes ie free length of spring, length on strut with car weight on/off, he was able to replicate the load on the spring and therefore work out it's rating and advise from there.

Can anyone advise me on the correct specs to ask for after an S50 conversion? They are about the same weight as an M30 swap I'd say, possibly slightly heavier...

I was going to fit H&R M20 springs as I had them on my iS and liked the rate, they worked very well with the Bilstein sprint shocks I have. Obviously the S50 is heavier so there would be extra sag (which I dont want I dont really want to lower the car very much but would appreciate a higher rate to match the dampers (overall about 20mm lower than std Mtech would be ideal for me).

this is gonna be down to your personal taste and your current suspension set up mate, what you could do is decide how you would like to improve your current springs ie are they too soft/hard too low/high ride height and give Faulkner a call you will find they are very friendly and happy to chat or go with whats been tried and tested by other zoners with same set up/conversion.
