Alarm Installation - door switches

Can anyone tell me where is the best place to pick up the wiring for the door switches for alarm instalation? The colour of the wires would also help.

The Bently manual shows just about every wiring diagram except the one for the door switches and interior lights.

wouldn't mind knowing this too, the only thing my alarm doesn't do is open and shut the bloody doors..

BMW.
Open: W/BK = inside door
Close: R/BR = Pin 10 of ECU

Both wires can be accessed from behind the drivers kick panel.

Door switch wire (for interior lights) is brown/purple.
Most E30 alarm connection points are in the glovebox area, and you can pick this wire up where it comes out from behind the speaker.
The rear hatch switch wire on a touring is accessible as a brown/blue wire, terminating in a socket on the front of the rear left wheelarch. Don't know if this wire is present on saloons from the boot light switch as well.

Eh? R/Br, pin 10 is the dead lock connection and I don't know of a W/Bk in the locking system.
Lock request is yellow/blue and unlock request is green/blue . Both are accessible in the glovebox area, where they come up from the cill and go into the left hand door pillar socket.

In the above, I've known the yellow/blue to be yellow/grey instead.

I don't get it!
the instructions on my alarm said yellow/blue and green/blue but when i connected it up it just blew the fuses.

I had to rake about in the door to find the wires im using now.

It was the wiring for the courtesy light switches that I was after - this is used to trigger the alarm in the event that someone opens the door without first disarming.
