respray to restore key damage

Any thoughts and comments on an insurance respray for key damage.

Panels that got keyed:
bonnet, passenger door, left hand rear quarter panel and the boot.
Colour is diamond black metallic

My preferred local bodyshop is quoting a complete trim removal and full body respray, Au$ 5000 = UK pounds 2000

Insurance are pushing back and claiming each panel can be restored individually.

its ur car, get a 2nd quote from another body shop. Get ur body shop to doa letter stating it needs to be complete spray as panels will not match etc due ot the age of the paint

apparently metallic black is a bugger to match (hence my dad not fancying doing a wing and door for me )

but if you did them individually whilst still attached to the car it would probably be neareer a grand

Some metalic blacks are easy to match, ford panther black for example can be painted edge to edge.

thanks all for the advice, the usual story of diggin' in to get insurance to do the right thing.
