remove the fuel pump fuse and let the car run until she conks out
look under the intake manifold and you'll see the fuel rail, remove the 10mm headed bolts that secure the rail to the intake, remove the fuel lines( label them !!)
using a wide flat tip screwdriver gently rock the fuel rail complete with injectors upwards using the rocker cover edge as a pivot point
you should now have 6 injectors and the fuel rail in your hands, it will require some manouvering to get it out from under the intake, removing the rocker cover is usually the easiest method
to remove the injectors for the rail , slide the small clips @ the top off and pull the injectors from the rail itself.
make sure you have new O rings to fit, refitting is the reverse of removal dude, Enjoy, its not a bad little job TBH, bit fiddly mind
HTH
edit: typos fixed

That was easy!!!

Ant, I just took these out of my spares engine following your instructions, I will just fit the whole rail to my car, there are two O rings on the inj (arrows), as I'm fitting the complete rail I shouldn't need to replace top ones, did you mean the bottom ones? (Oh... do I have too!!!!???) I know... I know, I should.. I'll make some calls tomorrow, see if anywhere has them in stock...
Whats best to clean them up with before fitting??

Yr right Ant... I know and I definately will...!! (hate being sensible!!!!
)
Ant, you said "remove the fuel lines (label them)" I didn't see anything like that, only to rails as you see in pics...
Oh actually just thought, did you mean the two main lines???

Perfect timing for this thread - i'm thinking about taking mine out to get them cleaned before they go back in my new head.
Cheers Ant for the procedure. Did you get my PM about the chip btw? Need to get that sorted soon too!
