camshaft be??
iv just fitted a cam to the head, and it seemed to go in pretty good till the last bit it just seems too tight, it wouldnt push all the way in by hand so i had to tap it with a rubber mallet a couple of times, now it wont turn at all,
so should it be this tight? or am i just being parhanoied coz im sure the last cam wasnt as stiff as this one :?

Is it NEW?
Does it have that brown sh!t on the cams?

it shouldn't be jammed solid!

try rotating it a few times.

If you're talking about the cam in a bare head with no rockers etc. then it should glide in on the lube you've put in all around the bearings and should turn easily and smoothly with no tight spots.

If it doesn't then I'd suspect that something's amiss :(

no it's not a NEW cam it's a second hand one,
it's had a goood clean before it was put in and so was the head, it's weird it was nicely lubed before assemble and there is nothing else on the head just the cam, iv allready took it out and there were no markes of any kind anywhere, put it back in and it's exactly the same

Has the head ever been warped and skimmed?
Skimming the head flattens the head face, but it doesn't line up the cam bearings again.

sorted, i had to bray it out of the head, i gave it a gooood looking over nothing a miss, so i lubed it up again and i turned it in insted of hitting it with a mallet and it seems to be turning nicely, so i recon all is good
