Your 316 1.8? Or did you mean your 316 vs your mates 1.8 16v scort?

If it's your 1.8 carb 316 against a 1.8 16v, I'd put all my money on the Escort, sorry

The escort definitely unfortunately.....my brother has a 1.8 16v Si and theres no comparison with my 316 1.8...... even a 1.6 16v would take me..my brothers car is suprisingly quick for what it is.....
Ive even raced a 1.4 8v escort and it was slowly seein me off....
My 316 is auto though but bros car was a fair bit quicker and wouldnt I be able to beat it even if i had a manual

escort definately, and if its the 130 engine in it you`ll be left miles behind,
i had an xr3i 130, it had a close ratio gearbox and is surpisingly quick and will beat most cars
my mate has new mini cooper and i used to thrash him easy

the company are called bensons and they employ independant teachers...was p****d off the other day...had a lesson begrudgingly gave instructor 'his' Ԛ£40, then his missus phoned him and he boasted to me that he was taking her to the local pub/restaurant and could pay for it now!!

Bensons are con artists, reason why bensons prices are so high is because they have to pay bensons x amount a week before the instructors actually earn any cash themselves.
My dad has his own driving school, and he charges Ԛ£16 a hour.
He is the most value for money in chelmsford.
